Exceptional service from beginning to end for my Nan’s funeral. Denise and the team were incredibly supportive throughout, and even followed up afterwards to make sure we were doing okay, which meant a lot. I would highly recommend them.
The level of service received here was incredible. I had no idea on what to do but Tony was amazing, he came round my house on several occasions as I was really struggling with the loss of my dad. He just got what it was

He just got what it was to be lost and not knowing what to do. He was amazing with my mum, sat with her on a weekend despite having his own family to look after. His team on the day were incredibly professional. I'm so thankful to everyone there.
We were very happy with Alison who arranged everything and was our contact before the funeral day, and also the funeral director on the day and her whole team

The staff, especially Ceanne at James Hawes & Goodchild funeral directors, Well Street, Hackney were professional yet very caring. From our first visit & up to the funeral day they handled all the arrangements efficiently & kept us updated throughout the process. This was a heartbreaking time for my family but Ceanne & her colleagues definately made the process easier to handle, allowing us the time to grieve without worrying about organising funeral arrangements.
We were also introduced to Ruby Warnock (Celebrant), who was amazing & delivered a truly emotional & heartfelt service.
I would highly recommend this company to look after your departed loved one & funeral arrangements.

She was kind and sympathetic, providing a coffee, which was a nice touch that helped us to relax. I have never arranged a funeral before but with Alison’s help and advice, the procedure was painless and efficient. She kept in touch and we were never left wondering what was happening. If Alison wasn’t in the office, there was always someone at the end of the phone if we had any questions. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend James Hawes and Goodchild.
What a wonderful service these guys provided when my Mum passed away recently with their amazing caring ways. I particularly liked that they came to my house and that I didn't need to visit the funeral parlor.
